On November 22nd the Sun goes out of the intense and often difficult sign of Scorpio and moves into the happier energy of Sagittarius. Time to celebrate, to think big, to expand your horizons!
All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them - Walt Disney
Sagittarius is a much lighter vibration than its predecessor, Scorpio. It is more jovial, it wants to have fun and to explore new vistas.
Every time the Sun goes into a new sign, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a To Do list that fits the astrological house and zodiac sign that Sun is transiting in your chart. Sagittarius is the most optimistic sign in the zodiac and the energy of this transit for the next month should help you to feel more hopeful and excited about new possibilities in your life.
It’s a time to focus on what can be done, not on what can’t be done. Is your cup half full or half empty? Jupiter is Sagittarius’ ruler and wants you to see the abundance all around you. It’s time for expansion, growth and new experiences.
A man, aged 49, with Sun and Mercury in Sagittarius in his natal chart, was always searching for the meaning of life. He would get extremely excited about a spiritual movement or a particular teaching and he would then immerse himself in it for months, even years. Once he had gotten everything he could from that experience, he would go looking for something else.
He even joined a cult of people for several years who believed that they were going to live forever in their physical bodies.
We’ve got a huge amount of elemental Fire energy in the heavens with all these Sagittarian planets, Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Leo. It’s very exciting and stimulating, but make sure you are grounding yourself and not being taken in by something that is completely bogus and you may later find yourself regretting. We’re going to see a plethora of cults springing up, false prophets and gurus. Many of these cults tout for money and people have lost thousands of pounds in supporting the leaders of these various organisations. So stay alert.

Think about the glyph for Sagittarius. The centaur is shooting an arrow. Where do you want to shoot arrows out into the world or beyond? How high can you aim? How much can you dream?
The cosmos, the universe, the stars, the galaxy... Allow your mind to fantasise... Star Trek is a wonderful example of this Sagittarian energy:
“Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.”
This is the perfect quote to help you to tune into the energies of this transit.
Our scientists are gradually exploring more and more planets. There are planned missions to Mars to establish a human settlement, where astronauts say goodbye forever to their friends and family. More and more we are exploring the planets in our solar system. Only recently, scientists have been talking about checking out Uranus, the planet that rules astrology! And with Saturn going into Sagittarius towards the end of December this year, we’ll have a three year window of opportunity to make our dreams a reality.
Venus went into Sagittarius on November 17th, Mercury also goes into Sagittarius on November 29th, and with the Sun, Mercury and Venus in Sagittarius this is the time to speak your truth, to say what is important to you.
The truth is its motto.
It says it as it is! Be careful before you ask a question because you might just get a blunt answer.
For example if you ask someone with Mercury or the Sun in Sagittarius:
‘Do I look good in this dress?’
You might be told:
‘Hmm, not bad, but it does show up your tummy a bit!’
They’ll probably give you an honest answer but it might not be what you want to hear!!
‘Do you like my new hairdo?’
The response could be:
‘Well, actually I preferred it when it was longer.’
Yikes! So if you don’t mind hearing the ‘truth,’ then fine, but if you are feeling vulnerable and sensitive, it’s probably best not to ask.
It’s a great time to share your dream – maybe a big dream. How can we live in peace? How can we connect with one another? How can we save our oceans?
